And the law is given unto men. And by the law no flesh is justified; or, by the law men are dcut off. Yea, by the temporal law they were cut off; and also, by the spiritual law they perish from that which is good, and become miserable forever."

The first sentence really stuck out to me. We were all taught the difference between good and evil before we came to this life. And, we all have access to the light of Christ to help us recognize truth.

The last time I discussed same-sex unions with someone, I asked how she came to her belief about the issue. She couldn't really say how she decided if something was good or true. For me, the answer was simple: it eventually comes down to prayer and getting answers from God.

I don't think there's really such a thing as an atheist. I think that there are just people who have somehow been deceived (self deception or otherwise) and will recognize the existence of God once they decide honestly seek absolute truths.

Integrity then becomes vital. Once you know truths, if you have integrity, you will act on them. That's why integrity is so important to me when raising children. Children who have integrity will eventually act on the truths they know, even if they stray for a while.

Thanks for the good post. Turning points come from bad places, often times. Also, i think its a great point that it often keeps the girl from being in the same situation again if she took responsibility the first time and went through the emotional process instead of escaping out the back door with no growth.

for me, with gay marriage it really comes down to not being afraid of your beliefs.sometimes your mind and heart can say two different things. i dont think gay marriage is right, but can understand them wanting the law to support them. but it comes down to the fact that we having a living prophet who is able to guide us and we should want our nation to have moral and just laws, leading us down the correct path to our Heavenly Father and His ways.GrowingRopershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02341096039393344239noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3439166913849257680.post-86296759546027369432009-03-26T13:32:00.000-04:002009-03-26T13:32:00.000-04:00The word Homophobic is like the word Cult. It really has nothing to do with the real issues at hand. Only ignorant people, or those who realize they would lose if the real issues are discussed, use words in context like that.dubbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18106525109430579582noreply@blogger.com
